KISS' SONIC BOOM Released on this Day 2009

SONIC BOOM, October 6, 2009/Perform on David Letterman
Today, marks the 2 anniversary of the release of SONIC BOOM. Released, available only at Wal-Mart, marked Kiss' return to new recorded muisc after an 11 year absence. The album entered the US Billboard Album Charts at #2, second to Michael Buble's new release at the #1 spot. The album also reached #1 on the US Billboard Rock Charts.

The album was produced by Paul Stanley and recorded at Conway Studios in Hollywood.
The album's artwork was produced by ROCK AND ROLL OVER artist Michael Dorset.

Kiss also performed "Modern Day Delilah" that evening on 'The David Letterman Show"( video below).

SONIC BOOM  featured a 3-Disc digi-pack with a second CD of newly recorded Kiss classics that was previously released only in Japan. The third disc was a DVD of select song performances from their May 2011 visit to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a 20 page booklet. The album was also pressed in vinyl in purple, red, green, blue and black at 1,000 copies each that quickly sold out.
