PETER CRISS':"Makeup to Breakup" Scores Top 20
Peter Criss Scores with Autobiography
Peter's new autobiography has reached #13 on the sales chart according to Publisher's Weekly and #7 on the New York Times Hardcover Non-Fiction Best-sellers list.KISS Kruise 2/ Day 3
Our ship, the Norwegian Pearl, docked in Mexico yesterday, and many KISS fans spent the day exploring Cozumel. It was fun to watch a sea of KISS t-shirts exiting the cruise terminal and spreading through town!
Back aboard the ship, it was "80s night." The KISS Navy put its own spin on dressing for the decade. Many Kruisers sported big hair, neon colors, and spandex to get into the spirit. This was also the night of KISS' second indoor show, so a lot of fans wore their 80s wear to the concert, which made for a fun-looking crowd!
And what a show it was. KISS kicked off the show with "Take Me," mixing up the setlist quite a bit from the previous night's concert. The song selections were often guided by fans shouting out song titles. KISS played "Makin' Love," "I Stole Your Love" and even a short version of "Magic Touch" after the audience began chanting it. Just as the previous audience was treated to five songs from "Monster," KISS performed these songs for for this enthusiastic audience too. At the end of the show, after the encore had ended and the house lights came up, Eric returned to the stage and threw out every set of drumsticks he had near his kit. After he ran out of sticks, he and his tech began dismantling his drum kit, then autographing and distributing two cymbals and a cowbell to three young fans.
Today is the last full day of the Kruise! There are a lot of fun events scheduled, including a poolside band Q&A session with KISS and fans, Casino Night with Eric, a Belly Flop contest with Paul, and a pick-throwing contest pitting KISS Kruisers against long-range pick-throwing master... Gene! At night, a KISS costume contest promises to showcase hundreds of fans showing off their best face paint!
(Fun fact: All KISS Kruise guests received three gifts when they boarded the ship -- a KISS Kruise beach towel, a KISS Kruise poster autographed by all four members of the band... and a set of black-and-white KISS makeup, so everyone can rock the greasepaint tonight!)

The KISS Kruise 2 / Day 2

KISS Kruise: Day Two (Kissonline)
The second day of the KISS Kruise II kicked off with several fan events. A t-shirt swap quickly turned into a swap-everything event, with fans trading memorabilia and guitar picks too, especially the new KISS Kruise II picks. It was fun to see how many different shirts fans made and brought from around the world.
As we continued sailing toward Cozumel, many KISS Kruisers spent the day relaxing on the many lounge chairs, couches and daybeds all around the ship, like the fans from Australia shown in this photo! The ship's bowling alley and lounge features 24-hour live KISS concerts playing on the TVs.
A tattoo artist applied permanent tattoos to fans in one of the lounges, including KISS Kruise-themed tattoo designs.
Last night, KISS also played the first of two indoor live shows in the ship's Stardust Theater. KISS opened the show with "Psycho Circus," launching into a setlist heavy on hits, classics, and many selections from the new Monster album! The band treated fans to the first-ever live performances of "Wall of Sound," "All For the Love of Rock and Roll," "Hell or Hallelujah," "Out of This World," and "Long Way Down." After rocking the Kruisers all evening, KISS left the stage, then returned and encored with "Lick it Up" and "Rock And Roll All Nite."Confetti flew, the lights went down again, and the show was over. Or was it? KISS came back again and played even more songs, including "Nothin' To Lose" and "Deuce!" The guys were in fine form, happily interacting with fans and enjoying themselves onstage.
The day wrapped up with entertainment from a variety of bands around the ship, and an enthusiastic round of KISS Karaoke in the ship's lounge.
Tomorrow, the KISS Navy is scheduled to port at Cozumel.

Multi-Platinum Icons KISS Release The Casablanca Singles 1974-1982 Magnificent Limited Edition Box Sets of Band's 29 Singles on Legendary Casablanca Label Available December 4
OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE FROM UNIVERSAL MUSIC ENTERPRISES
LOS ANGELES, CA, Oct 31, 2012 -- Rock legends KISS were the first signing to the late Neil Bogart's newly formed Casablanca Records label after he saw and recognized their talent and showmanship during their spectacular performance at a showcase concert at New York City's Le Tang's Ballet Studio in 1973, offering them a contract on the spot. Now, KISS celebrates their 40th anniversary in 2013 having broken box-office records set by The Beatles and Elvis, more than 28 U.S. gold albums -- the most gold records for any American rock band -- 40 million sales in the U.S. and a total exceeding 100 million worldwide.
In their early years, KISS released a total of 29 singles on seven-inch 45 RPM records for the Casablanca label. These were available for sale to the public, used for commercial radio airplay and to promote album sales. Many of these singles had entirely different mixes, edits and material that didn't appear on their vinyl albums. Now for the first time, these musical snapshots of KISS' formative years, which have never been available in a commemorative singles edition, will be released in two box-set configurations entitled The Casablanca Singles 1974-1982, on Dec. 4 from Mercury/Casablanca/UMe:
29 Seven-inch vinyl (Limited Edition available direct to consumer via www.universalmusicenterprises.com/select ) 29 CDs (available through all retail outlets)
In typical KISS fashion, these are no ordinary boxes. The sets are housed in a beautiful die-cut shadow box with a limited edition, etched silver metal plate and ribbon-pull magnetic closure, custom KISS 45s box with 26 collectible picture sleeves from original single releases around the world, including Japan, Germany, Holland, Spain and Britain. The vinyl collection also features singles from all four solo albums in purple, blue, red and green vinyl with a picture sleeve representing each individual member as originally released in the U.K. Both sets include a booklet which tracks the genesis and chart history of each single represented in the package and four individual KISS masks.
The Casablanca Singles 1974-1982 covers KISS' remarkable eight-year stay on Bogart's label, from their very first single "Nothin' to Lose" b/w "Love Theme from KISS," from their self-titled debut, to their very first charted 45, "Kissin' Time." The band's subsequent string of hits included Dressed to Kill's live version of "Rock and Roll All Nite" (No. 12 on Billboard's Hot 100), Destroyer's "Shout It Out Loud" (No. 31) and the Top 10 ballad "Beth," Rock and Roll Over's "Hard Luck Woman" (No. 15) and "Calling Dr. Love" (No. 16), Love Gun's "Christeen Sixteen" (No. 25), Ace Frehley's solo hit, "New York Groove" (No. 13) and Dynasty's "I Was Made for Lovin' You" (No. 11).
"Even I haven't heard some of this stuff, but this is all part of our master plan to celebrate KISS at this milestone in our careers," says Gene Simmons. "This box set represents us at the very beginning of our career, and documents the band's early success and subsequent growth."
Adds Paul Stanley: "This collection is meant for the true KISS aficionado. The packaging really captures the development of both our music and image at a very crucial period in the band's history."
The special set comes out after the release of Monster, their 20th studio album. Showing the band at the top of its game, Monster embodies all that is KISS and the music that first inspired them to pick up their guitars and flame-throwers and don makeup to entertain millions. Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, with longtime members guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer, return stronger than ever with their new album to continue the legacy of the spectacular larger-than-life extravaganza known as KISS.
