Kiss star Paul Stanley says he’s never gone into depth over his life struggles because it would go against his job description.

He’s finally poised to break his silence in an autobiography, which he describes as “three-quarters done.” It’ll be the first time he’ll have seriously discussed the ups and downs of his road to success.
Stanley tells Examiner.com: “I’m an entertainer, a performer. People pay me to entertain. People pay me to forget about their problems. You don’t want to hear my problems.”
Accepting there are some fans who’ll be desperate to read his story, he continues: “It’s not just about Kiss – although Kiss has been a big part of my life. I’d be cheating everybody if I didn’t talk about that.
“It’s a story with a happy ending, like a good massage. I want people to know life isn’t always easy, but if you believe in yourself you can come up on top.
“I think there’s a lot to be said for self-empowerment, for what you can accomplish when you believe in yourself.”
But he admits: “I think people seek fame and success to fill a void in themselves. Once they become famous they have to figure out what’s really the problem. They either go with drugs or they go another way.”
