ACE FREHLEY'S "OUTER SPACE" SETS THE TONE

ACE'S "OUTER SPACE" KICKS MAJOR ALIEN ASS/PREVIEW AT LA'S VIPER ROOM 9/12/09:
(KissMaskWebzine)
The online preview track, "Outer Space," has set the tone and momentum for a classic Ace Frehley album, ANOMALY, due out September 15. Ace, in an annoucement via his Twitter page, will preview songs from the album at LA's Viper Room on September 12, part of West Hollywood's Sunset Strip Music Festival.
In a time where, in my opinion, lacks any kind of classic rock sound from anyone coming up the rock and roll ranks. Ace's solid, new album is poised to provide that sound, to an anxious group of Ace and Kiss fans alike, as well as the general rock audience, who have been yearning for balls-to-the-wall rock and roll for quite sometime.
"Outer Space" is heavy, classic rock and roll at it's very best- Guitar driven, this track offers Ace on lead vocals, unlike past albums where Ace has gone back and forth sharing lead vocals, singing his strongest vocals to date.
Mind you, we've heard only one song. And one preview song may just be enough (or not), serving as an appetizer of to what is yet to come. "Outer Space" covers all of the bases in an all- out assault on the ears.
With Ace's 1978 solo album serving as the template for ANOMALY. Ace digs way back into his roots creating a classic rock sound that holds up in today's world where this sound virtually no longer exists.
ANOMALY will be released on Ace's own, Bronx Born Records, in the US on September 15 with Rocket Science providing a full service label platform. European fans need no longer to worry as Ace has inked a deal with Season of Mist Records who will release the album overseas. A tour is set to follow. Ace's band includes second guitarist Derrek Hawkins, drummer Scot Coogan (ex-BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION) and bassist Anthony Esposito (ex-LYNCH MOB).
