DETROIT — You gotta file a lawsuit in Detroit Rock City.
A company that controls photos and posters of the rock group Kiss is suing to stop the online sale of a book with pictures of the performers.
Kiss Catalog Ltd. says trademarks are being violated by a book titled "Vintage Kiss Photos: 1974-1981." The lawsuit names Marc Scallatino of Blackwood, N.J., and photographer Janet Macoska of Cleveland.
Kiss Catalog, based in New York, is asking a judge to shut down vintagekissphotos.com and order the pair to surrender any books with photos of Kiss members.
E-mail and phone messages seeking comment were left Tuesday with Scallatino and Macoska.
The lawsuit was filed last week in federal court in Detroit, where part of the 1975 Kiss album "Alive!" was recorded at Cobo Arena.

There is a feeling of elements that remind the listener to Bruce's day's with Kiss. Bruce's classic work from Revenge and Carnival of Souls comes to mind immediately.
"Hand Of The King," the lead single, sees Nick Simmons taking the lead singing on this track. The apple does not fall far from the tree as Nick unleashes his deep voice and prowl.
Bruce, always a laid back kind of guy, with his vocals shining in this well crafted, on the softer side of "Final Mile," a well written melodic ballad.

KM: How was your mini-tour of Australia?
BK: I had a great time. I love the fans there and the guys I played with are very talented. We had a great 20 song set. A lot of Kiss classics, a couple of my solo record tracks and one of the songs that John (Corabi) does on BK3 called "No Friend of Mine." I was very satisfied.
KM: I'm very excited about BK3.
BK: You've actually heard it?
KM: Yes. It's reminiscent to Revenge and Carnival of Souls.

KM: It is a compliment. Was that your plan to create an album comparable to those albums you obviously had strong input on? Going back to that heavier sound?
BK: Once Jeremy Rubulino, my producer, got involved, our goal for this to be the best of me. We really didn't know right away of all the special guests that we had.
We know the best of what I did with Kiss certainly Revenge and arguably Carnival of Souls is up there. If you love that record, you can thank me, if you hate it, don't blame me. That was the direction they wanted to go. Speaking specifically of the Revenge record which was very focused.
I walked out of the mixes of that album feeling this is amazing! This is 99.9% satisfying and that's what I wanted BK3 to be and I felt like I accomplished that.
KM: It took you three years to get this record, BK3, to complete?
BK: Actually I started writing in 2003. But I'd rather count more of the recording process which took three years. Quite a few turns, step on the gas, and turn the other way when Gene (Simmons) got involved. The he offered Nick (Simmons) to sing a song ("Hand of the King"- the lead single) and the fact Jeremy and I really clicked well with Nick. The fact that the song we thought Gene would get involved with was now available to somebody else and we need a kick ass singer for this. I got drummer Tobias (Sammet) whom Eric (Singer) introduced me to.
The next thing I know, I'm talking to Steve Lukather (for the instrumental "Between The Lines" and who appeared on Peter Criss' 1978 solo and 1980's "Out of Control.") at lunch because he helps me with the studio the famous Kenny Aronoff offered the band. The next thing I know, Jeremy's telling me, "You gotta' ask Gene to be on one song." And I'm like what? Gene scares the hell out of me. He's a monster (laughs). I'm quite pleased with the results. I couldn't have predicted it that way.
KM: I love how Gene's voice is layered on "Ain't Gonna' Die," a real ass kicker.
BK: Gene loves to double himself although the verses were an octave lower. At first he thought he would do something introspective, but then he liked the idea . You how TMZ picks at celebrities- you get the last laugh? The lyrics are very tongue and cheek with that kind of attitude.
KM: What was it like working in the studio with Gene again?
BK: Wonderful. It was exciting. I know it was kind of a dream for Jeremy. He knew the guys for a long time but never worked with them. He's actually related to Bob Ezrin, so he met Gene and Paul when he was young. He me Neil (Bogart) when he was probably 14 or 15. So here we are years later.
It didn't take long at all. We actually wrote the lyrics in the studio. Gene's biggest point of view about the drumming was Brent Fritz (UNION). It could have been Eric but he wasn't available at the time, he was out with Alice Cooper. He really wanted Brent to play like Keith Moon. The drums are quite intense. They're almost over the top. Very cool performance.
KM: I love the opening track "Fate." Great riff. I hear subtle lyrics of titles of Kiss songs. Is that your homage to your days with Kiss?
BK: Yeah. I purposely in some Kiss references. I wanted the song to be a timeline of me being in the band. Hold up a second. I have the lyrics here.
KM: I don't have them on my CD.
BK: No you wouldn't Let me indulge in a second. Okay.

Trying to be positive about it. Just having some fun with Kiss titles and I'm saying 'Here I am and I mean business'
KM: There are a lot of different musical elements on BK3- Soft, heavy, power rock, but yet very cohesive. "Dirty Girl" is a great power pop rock song.
BK: It's a catchy tune. I think Doug (Fieger) did a really good job with that.
KM: I've always loved the Knack. How did you hook up with Doug?
BK: That's the Fantasy Camp connection. We got to talking. Beatles, music, we really hit it off and I have a lot of respect for him When Jeremy and I had the track, we thought who's a powerful pop rock singer? Doug immediately came to mind. I backed him up on "My Sharona" and "Good Girls Don't" and it was a lot of fun playing those songs with him. He did a really great job and I'm proud to have him on the record.
KM: The last time I interviewed you was right before the 1995 Kiss Convention tour and you have the same enthusiasm talking about BK3 as you did when talking about Carnival of Souls. That was a very personal record for you, was it not?
BK: Here's a situation- we're doing the Convention tour and I think Kiss is a little lost at the time. Revenge didn't do as well as we had hoped even though I think it's a killer record. MTV was very specific about the UNPLUGGED show and they wanted to have the reunion. Gene and Paul realized Ace and Peter wanted to do a reunion- go on tour and do a reunion. They started to talk about it. This is all behind the scenes yet we were committed to do the record. I think it was titled Head at the time. We were committed to studio time. The record company put up the money and I was calling Gene. I think what sidetracked him was that they were trying to figure out if they could really pull off a reunion tour with Ace and Peter. I'm thinking, I'm the guitarist in the band that's been writing for the past three years- Why aren't we recording our next record? This decision for Gene and Paul to make since they couldn't guarantee down the road what would happen with Ace and Peter- we moved forward, carry on and do the record.
It wasn't until 3/4 through when everything was really committed. They knew what they were gonna' do and knowing what they were gonna' do meant finish the record... The gave Eric and I January of that year, they would move on and do that. I was really excited about that record and the were doing it to keep all the eggs in one basket because what if Ace and Peter decided this isn't going to work, we can still have Kiss and move forward.
It was an interesting position to be in and I understand on a business level how it had to go down that way. The record was done and it couldn't be released.
KM: Did you have any inkling that the Reunion tour was going to happen?
BK: No, because they weren't acting very friendly at all to each other.
KM: I have a question from Kiss Mask reader, Kevin Conrad of Glenville, NY. Kevin asks- It almost seems there was a gag order concerning any questions about Carnival of Souls being put forth to any band member. I remember very little being addressed to you and Eric after the split with the band. I seem to recall one comment from Paul stating he was in "a very dark place." Any truth to that statement and how do you feel about the treatment that album go being you had a huge part in the development and sound of that record?
BK: It was a terrible time for me. I was real proud that I contributed to the record whether a little or a lot. "Jungle" was the single, alot of that Paul and wrote. Gene and Paul did a little bit of press for it. I do remember Paul saying some things like that and I think he was referring to making a dark record but I really don't know know personally that Paul was going through a dark period.
I'll take credit if you like it but don't blame me if you don't. They absolutely hate that record. They wanted to do a heavier record than Revenge. They brought in a co-producer (Toby Wright) who worked with Alice In Chains, kinda' like dark, heroin kind of music. I don't think our record is as dark as an Alice In Chains album. I think there is some really cool stuff on there. I know Paul does not really like the record.

The next thing I know, I'm talking to Steve Lukather (for the instrumental "Between The Lines" and who appeared on Peter Criss' 1978 solo and 1980's "Out of Control.") at lunch because he helps me with the studio the famous Kenny Aronoff offered the band. The next thing I know, Jeremy's telling me, "You gotta' ask Gene to be on one song." And I'm like what? Gene scares the hell out of me. He's a monster (laughs). I'm quite pleased with the results. I couldn't have predicted it that way.
KM: I love how Gene's voice is layered on "Ain't Gonna' Die," a real ass kicker.
BK: Gene loves to double himself although the verses were an octave lower. At first he thought he would do something introspective, but then he liked the idea . You how TMZ picks at celebrities- you get the last laugh? The lyrics are very tongue and cheek with that kind of attitude.
KM: What was it like working in the studio with Gene again?
BK: Wonderful. It was exciting. I know it was kind of a dream for Jeremy. He knew the guys for a long time but never worked with them. He's actually related to Bob Ezrin, so he met Gene and Paul when he was young. He me Neil (Bogart) when he was probably 14 or 15. So here we are years later.
It didn't take long at all. We actually wrote the lyrics in the studio. Gene's biggest point of view about the drumming was Brent Fritz (UNION). It could have been Eric but he wasn't available at the time, he was out with Alice Cooper. He really wanted Brent to play like Keith Moon. The drums are quite intense. They're almost over the top. Very cool performance.
KM: I love the opening track "Fate." Great riff. I hear subtle lyrics of titles of Kiss songs. Is that your homage to your days with Kiss?
BK: Yeah. I purposely in some Kiss references. I wanted the song to be a timeline of me being in the band. Hold up a second. I have the lyrics here.
KM: I don't have them on my CD.
BK: No you wouldn't Let me indulge in a second. Okay.

Trying to be positive about it. Just having some fun with Kiss titles and I'm saying 'Here I am and I mean business'
KM: There are a lot of different musical elements on BK3- Soft, heavy, power rock, but yet very cohesive. "Dirty Girl" is a great power pop rock song.
BK: It's a catchy tune. I think Doug (Fieger) did a really good job with that.
KM: I've always loved the Knack. How did you hook up with Doug?
BK: That's the Fantasy Camp connection. We got to talking. Beatles, music, we really hit it off and I have a lot of respect for him When Jeremy and I had the track, we thought who's a powerful pop rock singer? Doug immediately came to mind. I backed him up on "My Sharona" and "Good Girls Don't" and it was a lot of fun playing those songs with him. He did a really great job and I'm proud to have him on the record.
KM: The last time I interviewed you was right before the 1995 Kiss Convention tour and you have the same enthusiasm talking about BK3 as you did when talking about Carnival of Souls. That was a very personal record for you, was it not?
BK: Here's a situation- we're doing the Convention tour and I think Kiss is a little lost at the time. Revenge didn't do as well as we had hoped even though I think it's a killer record. MTV was very specific about the UNPLUGGED show and they wanted to have the reunion. Gene and Paul realized Ace and Peter wanted to do a reunion- go on tour and do a reunion. They started to talk about it. This is all behind the scenes yet we were committed to do the record. I think it was titled Head at the time. We were committed to studio time. The record company put up the money and I was calling Gene. I think what sidetracked him was that they were trying to figure out if they could really pull off a reunion tour with Ace and Peter. I'm thinking, I'm the guitarist in the band that's been writing for the past three years- Why aren't we recording our next record? This decision for Gene and Paul to make since they couldn't guarantee down the road what would happen with Ace and Peter- we moved forward, carry on and do the record.
It wasn't until 3/4 through when everything was really committed. They knew what they were gonna' do and knowing what they were gonna' do meant finish the record... The gave Eric and I January of that year, they would move on and do that. I was really excited about that record and the were doing it to keep all the eggs in one basket because what if Ace and Peter decided this isn't going to work, we can still have Kiss and move forward.
It was an interesting position to be in and I understand on a business level how it had to go down that way. The record was done and it couldn't be released.
KM: Did you have any inkling that the Reunion tour was going to happen?
BK: No, because they weren't acting very friendly at all to each other.
KM: I have a question from Kiss Mask reader, Kevin Conrad of Glenville, NY. Kevin asks- It almost seems there was a gag order concerning any questions about Carnival of Souls being put forth to any band member. I remember very little being addressed to you and Eric after the split with the band. I seem to recall one comment from Paul stating he was in "a very dark place." Any truth to that statement and how do you feel about the treatment that album go being you had a huge part in the development and sound of that record?
BK: It was a terrible time for me. I was real proud that I contributed to the record whether a little or a lot. "Jungle" was the single, alot of that Paul and wrote. Gene and Paul did a little bit of press for it. I do remember Paul saying some things like that and I think he was referring to making a dark record but I really don't know know personally that Paul was going through a dark period.
I'll take credit if you like it but don't blame me if you don't. They absolutely hate that record. They wanted to do a heavier record than Revenge. They brought in a co-producer (Toby Wright) who worked with Alice In Chains, kinda' like dark, heroin kind of music. I don't think our record is as dark as an Alice In Chains album. I think there is some really cool stuff on there. I know Paul does not really like the record.
KM: It's kind of the same with (Music From) The Elder.
BK: Yeah. They distance themselves from that too and there's some brilliant stuff on that,
KM: You've stated before in the press you were relieved when you weren't asked to come in Kiss after Ace left. What would you have said or done if they had ?
BK: I don't know. My only concern was that I didn't like what happened to Eric Singer- He was in the band, then he was out...
KM: When Peter rejoined.
BK: Right. Everything worked fine for him in the end. If I would have left Grand Funk, which is a great gig for me and suddenly Ace is back in the band, that would have been really bad for me.

GENE SIMMONS & DAVID LEE ROTH VOICEOVERS FOR "THE WOLFMAN"

PUERTO RICAN actor Benicio Del Toro's strong, intense features have led him towards many dark and tragic roles, the latest being the lead in the remake of The Wolfman, released on February 12.
But the character's spine-chilling howl comes from somewhere else together.
Rock stars Gene Simmons - lead singer of Kiss - and David Lee Roth - frontman of Van Halen - were among the many people who came in to the studio to provide animalistic sound effects for the film.
Director Joe Johnston explained that the creature's blood-curdling ululations weren't as simple to achieve as you might expect.
He told BoxOffice they had listened to the baying sounds of werewolves in other films but thought most sounded phoney.

Paul Stanley of Kiss has donated one of his latest paintings titled Miami Sunset to benefit Arts for Learning. The painting was unveiled Friday at the W South Beach during a cocktail reception for the 36th annual Miami Beach Festival of the Arts. All proceeds generated from the online auction at www.biddingforgood.com/artsforlearningmiami will benefit the after-school arts programs of Arts for Learning. The auction winner will also receive an invitation for two to an exclusive private dinner event with Stanley at the Diplomat Hotel in March, courtesy of the Wentworth gallery. Bidding on Miami Sunset, which is valued at $50,000, will begin at $15,000.

Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer attended the City of Hope 2009 Spirit of Life Gala benefit that raised $9 million dollars for the cancer research center.
AEG President and CEO Tim Leiweke received the City of Hope 2009 Spirit of Life Award at the event. A portion of the proceeds from a number of AEG tours, including KISS, are donated to the research and treatment center. KISS donated $300,000 from tickets sold on their KISS ALIVE 35 US tour.
More than 1,700 people attended the dinner including Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Laker Magic Johnson and entertainment luminaries from the music and movie industries.
The Gala was part of the festivities surrounding lighting ceremonies for downtown Los Angeles' new 54-story JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Tower at the JW Marriott in Los Angeles, California.

Mallen, an attorney at the law firm of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, is representing Gene Simmons against a complaint filed on December 24, 2009 by Nathaniel Marlowe and Cynthia Manzo arising out of an alleged assault Marlowe and Manzo contend took place the afternoon of December 19, 2009 at the Grove shopping complex in Los Angeles. Mallen described the Complaint filed by Marlowe and Manzo as "opportunistic" and "riddled with distortions and false accusations." The complaint stems from events which occurred after Gene Simmons, Shannon Tweed, his partner of 26 years, and their seventeen year old daughter, Sophie, exited the movie theater at the Grove complex and were accosted by the thin, tall, tattooed Marlowe, who jumped at them and started yelling in their faces. While Simmons and his family attempted to walk away from their pursuer, Marlowe repeatedly converged upon them, while screaming and aiming a small electronic device at them.
Simmons asked the aggressor to keep his distance, but undeterred, the agitated Marlowe continued to approach Simmons while moving closer to Simmons' minor daughter. When Marlowe approached Simmons' daughter for the second time, Simmons, fearing for Sophie's safety, placed himself between his daughter and Marlowe, grabbed the device out of Marlowe's hand and moved Marlowe aside so his family could reach their car. Marlowe's companion, Cynthia Manzo, joined him in the traumatic incident that ruined the Simmons' family outing.
Simmons is appalled that people who attacked his family are suing him, claiming personal injuries, loss of consortium, and citing "emotional distress," when none of those charges are true. According to Mallen, "we look forward to meeting these charges in the court room and proving them false."

RockMusicStar: First of all, I want to congratulate you on your new CD, from what I heard of it, it's absolutely mind-blowing and this is coming from a life long KISS fan. You’re back and I absolutely love it. I’m sure you’re getting that response from your fans.
Ace Frehley: I put my heart and soul into this record. I started tracking in 2007, it’s been a long process, in the middle of writing, in the middle of recording; I decided to do a tour in 2008. I went over to Europe twice and Canada then came back, finished it up and went out to L.A. to mix it. It’s everything I wanted it to be and more.
RMS: Did you have any goal to try to recapture the vibe that you had on your 1st solo record?AF: Yeah, absolutely. I re-examined that record and try to recapture some of the feeling and musical textures and the vibe of that record. I try to get into the same mindset.
RMS: When are you going to hit the road to support this? Do you have any plans yet?
AF: I believe we’re hitting the road beginning of October.
RMS: Wow, that soon.
AF: Yeah.
RMS: It must have been a mixed blessing that KISS is releasing their new record right around the time you are. You’re definitely benefiting from all the hype and they’re benefiting from the hype of your CD as well. You would have to be pretty happy about that?
AF: It’s not something I think about much at all. I announced this record a couple of years ago. They announced their record sometime this year. Is there a coincidence why they’re coming out at the same time? I have no idea and it’s not something I really think much about. There’s going to be the obvious comparisons. I leave that up to the fans to make the comparisons.

KISS ADDS BARCELONA, SPAIN SHOW DATE
According to http://www.ltinews.net/ Spain, Kiss has a new date, June 24, for Barcelona, Spain. Kiss kicks off their 31 date Sonic Boom Over Europe tour May 1, 2010 at the Sheffield Arena in Sheffiled, UK. There is rumor that a 2nd show at London's Wembley Arena is in the works. Kiss plays Wembley Arena on May 13.

Gene and Paul's memories of some classic Kiss albums:
KISS (1974) - Gene: I no longer had to work for a living. I went on salary, I became the richest person in the world. Not only was I in a band, doing everything I wanted - I was getting $75 a week! Favourite track: Deuce.
DRESSED TO KILL (1975) - Gene: It was produced by Neil Bogart, our record company president, who couldn’t produce. We started attracting lots of groupies around this time. Mostly, I remember lots of girls. Favourite track: "Two Timer"
HOTTER THAN HELL (1974) - Paul: Difficult second album? No, we were all piss and vinegar - "If you didn't like the first album, here's another!" We were releasing them every eight months. Favourite track: Hotter Than Hell.

ALIVE! (1975) - Paul: A sonic souvenir of the live show. Was it enhanced? You bet! Who wants to hear a guitar string break every time they put on a song? One week it was gold, the next platinum. Our rollercoaster ride had begun.
DESTROYER (1976) - Gene: A coming of age, or perhaps just a coming. (Renowned producer) Bob Ezrin kicked us in the butt and made us do a record we couldn't do on our own. They were our songs and performances, but he brought it out of us. Favourite track: God Of Thunder.
ROCK AND ROLL OVER (1976) - Paul: Many said Destroyer wasn't raunchy enough for them. So we decided to go back to something a little more basic. It's a great album but, sonically, the songs didn't sound like they should have. Favourite track: I Want You.
LOVE GUN (1977) - Gene: Eddie Kramer produced but he was more an engineer so we took more control for this one. Ace and Peter started to become very difficult as alcohol and drugs began to take over. Favourite track: Love Gun.
ALIVE II (1977) -Paul: The companion piece to Kiss Alive! It couldn’t be an accurate representation of the live set then, there would be too may repeats. Just the gatefold image inside was worth the price alone. To this day, show that image to a band and tell them to top this!
THE SOLO ALBUMS (1978) -Gene: Our manager’s attempt to keep the band together. Ace and Peter wanted to do their own albums. Ace said: ‘I’m going to sell 10 million albums.” The drugs had taken full hold. Ironically. my favourite is Ace’s. Favourite track (from Gene’s album): "Radioactive"
DYNASTY (1979) -Paul: Peter was not up to the task and we had to bring in somebody else (Anton Fig) to play drums. I Was Made For Loving You was an undeniable hit - but we were going down a track it would have been better to avoid. We were lost. Favourite track: "I Was Made For Loving You"
CREATURES OF THE NIGHT (1982) - Gene: The (huge!) drum sound was my insistence. If any track led to that huge sound, which was recorded in a hall with doors open and the mics on a slight delay, it was I Love It Loud. I love the title track too. Favourite track: I Love It Loud.
LICK IT UP (1983) - Paul: Creatures was better, but we finally took the make-up off and Lick It Up sold three or four times as many copies. The first step in establishing another persona for the band. Touring without make-up was invigorating. An exciting time. Favourite track: A Million To One.
ANIMALIZE (1984) - Gene: I like a lot of the record but I was pre-occupied with Hollywood, doing my first movie, Runaway, for Michael Crichton. My songs weren't stellar. Favourite track: Heaven's On Fire.
ASYLUM (1985) -Paul: Animalize marked a return to very healthy record sales. We were back. Asylum was a good album but not as good as Animalize. This was (guitarist) Bruce Kulick’s debut. There were a few songs I didn’t even play on, they just weren’t my thing. Favourite track: "Tears Are Falling"
CRAZY NIGHTS (1987) - Gene: We were deeply in the out-of-make-up era and on a level playing field with all the other bands. Bruce was in and people showed up on time. No dark drama. This was a prime time for Paul, a very upbeat album. Favourite track: "Crazy Nights" HOT IN THE SHADE (1989) -Paul: It was very unfocused. A band’s album shouldn’t be an unloading place for everybody’s personal material. But the Hot In The Shade tour was one of the best we’d ever done, really grabbing our past and heritage by the balls. Favourite track: "Silver Spoon"
REVENGE (1992) - Gene: One of my favourites. We reunited with Bob Ezrin, and it's a very different time from Destroyer. I finally felt comfortable in my own skin. I stopped playing the Paul game, trying to look pretty with nice hair - I was never very good at that. Favourite track: Unholy.
PSYCHO CIRCUS (1998) -Gene: The reunion album but Peter and Ace are hardly on it at all. The same old self-destructive behaviour set in. Psycho Circus is Paul and myself and guest musicians, including Tommy Thayer. Favourite track: "I Pledge Allegiance To The State Of Rock & Roll"
SONIC BOOM (2009) - Paul: A culmination of everything, good and bad that went before it. It's a pure, honest album and I couldn't be more proud of it. We found our way home. Favourite tracks: Modern Day Delilah and Say Yeah.
SONIC BUSTS And here the pair recall some, er, not so classic ones:
UNMASKED (1980) - Gene: My fault. It was a strange period, with pop and dance dominating, and we lost our way. It was also the end for Peter Criss. Anton Fig's playing drums and the main memory is of protecting the fans from the news Peter was gone. Favourite track: You're All That I Want.
MUSIC FROM 'THE ELDER' (1981) - Paul: We all bought into Stonehenge and truly thought we were making a masterpiece, but we weren't - we were masturbating. A bloated, overblown, pompous piece of pap. Favourite track: I - because that's the last one and the album's over.
CARNIVAL OF SOULS (1997) - Paul: Tuning down to D and singing about the darkness of the world while living in mansions in Beverly Hills was a little absurd. We were no more from Seattle than from Saturn. Favourite track: I Will Be There.

ACE FREHLEY TO PLAY NATIONAL ANTHEM IN ANAHEIM SATURDAY
LOS ANGELES – Legendary KISS guitarist Ace Frehley will be performing the national anthem at the 2010 Monster Energy AMA World Championship. The live season opener will take place from Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA on Saturday January 9, and will be televised at 10:00pm EST on the SPEED channel.
Frehley will release ‘Behind The Player’ a retrospective DVD chronicling his work as one of the world’s most influential guitar players. The DVD will be released worldwide January 19th, through Rocket Science Ventures, and Sony/RED, and will be available for digital download at all online music retailers.
Last September, Frehley released his first solo album in nearly 20 years, Anomaly, which debuted top 30 on the Billboard 200.

Spiro has worked with Kiss since 1995. His duties have been from everything to putting the displays together for the 1995 Convention Tour to filling in for Gene on a Japanese tv comercial to designing Kiss tee-shirt to Gene's personal assistant. Spiro has also performed in the Kiss Tribute band, COLD GIN, with Kiss guitarist, Tommy Thayer.
As you will found in an interview done with our good friend Fabio at Deuce News, Spiro wears many Kiss hats.
Q:Why not to start right from that episode back in 2000, could you briefly tell us what passed in your mind when Ace told you were going to play that night?
A:I was thinking Ace must be crazy if he thinks he can make a decision like that.
Q:Definitely!!! Well, you played almost three years with Tommy in Cold Gin from 1992 to 1995. Tommy is now the lead guitarist in KISS, do you think it would be possible one day to see you as the new bassist in KISS?
A:With KISS, anything is possible but Gene isn't going to hang it up anytime soon. Gene and Paul have been doing this for 35 years and they’re still kicking ass.
Q:You started working for KISS in 1995 on the Official KISS Convention Tour, back then you started designing t-shirts and merchandise. Currently, you are Gene’s assistant. Could you tell us how is a typical Spiro’s day working with Gene?
A:There is no such thing as a typical day working with Gene. In addition to being the band’s assistant tour manager, I am responsible for coordinating all of Gene’s movements on tour. I am also his point man for Gene Simmons Family Jewels, the Axe Bass, Simmons Records and other business ventures. Gene is always very busy which means I’m always very busy! I was also the Pyro Shooter for the first month of the tour until the new Pyro crew learned the cues.
Q:You are also filming a lot of Gene’s activities, are some plans to include those segments in future DVD releases?

A:I’ve been filming behind the scenes footage of the entire band’s activities on tour. KISS is currently working on a DVD project that is going to top the first three volumes of KISSOLOGY. Lots of cool new footage and never before released KISS footage from the early 1970’s that is going to blow you away.
Q:Talking about filming, could you anticipate us some news about the KISS Reality Show Gene talked about some months ago? Any plan to broadcast in the next future?
A:I don’t know.
Q:Back to your current activities are you still managing the graphics for the KISS merchandising? And do you know if there will be some cool new stuff for the forthcoming Sonic Boom Euro Tour?
A:Live Nation used one of my designs for the KISS Alive 35 Tour which just happened to be the number one selling t-shirt every night on this tour. I recently did the artwork for the new Sonic Boom Over Europe Tour poster which was actually a collaborative effort between Paul Stanley and myself. We worked on it together in his hotel room on an off day during the tour. We came up with a sort of KISS jumbo jet on steroids flying over Europe. I think it turned out pretty cool.

BRUCE KULICK TO RELEASE 1ST SINGLE JANUARY 12!
"HAND OF THE KING" WILL BE 1ST SINGLE FROMBK3 DUE JANUARY 12, 2009!
LOS ANGELES – Bruce Kulick will release the debut single from his forthcoming album, BK3 on January 12th. The single “Hand Of The King” featuring Nick Simmons (son of KISS bassist Gene Simmons) will be a digital only release available at all online music stores, including iTunes. Nick was seen in Season 4 of Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels in the studio with Gene performing for the BK3 CD.
“Although ‘Hand Of The King’ marks Nick’s debut as a recording artist, he was a natural behind the microphone,” says Kulick. “His lyrics are based on his passion for the dark imagery of the graphic novel world. The combination of vivid lyrics and brooding guitar riffs, against Nick’s powerful vocal performance, absolutely resulted in one of my favorite tracks on BK3.
”Bruce Kulick’s third solo album, BK3 will be released on February 2nd via Twenty 4 Records / Rocket Science Ventures. Produced by Jeremy Rubulino, BK3 features a jaw dropping guest roster that also includes Gene Simmons, Knack frontman Doug Fieger, John Corabi (Motley Crue, Kulick’s own Union) Toto axe authoritarian Steve Lukather, KISS drummer Eric Singer, and more.

KISS TO STAR IN DR. PEPPER TV AD
"Trust Me, I'm a Doctor" Cherry Dr. Pepper Ad Campaign to Feature KISS:
According to the Wall Street Journal, Kiss will star in a televison commercial spot for Cherry Dr. Pepper. The spot will run during the Super Bowl XLIV. It is the first time in the company's 125 year history that has purchased ad time during the NFL championship which airs on CBS on Sunday, February 7. The ad will feature the entire band.
The ad comes off the heels of Gene's Cherry Dr. Pepper ad that ran last spring and featured Gene's son, Nick.
