Paul Stanley to be a Dad again!
Paul Stanley has announced he will be a father again!
Paul and wife Erin will welcome a baby girl into their family in August.
“There is nothing greater in life than family, and my accomplishments as a father rank at the top of my successes,” he says.
“Erin and I are blessed with our expectation of the addition of another princess to our family and a new member of the KISS army.”
The new baby will join Sarah Brianna, 2, Colin Michael, 4, and Evan Shane, 16, Stanley’s son from a previous relationship.
Fully enjoying fatherhood later in life, Stanley jokes his age doesn’t affect his dedication to daddy duty in the least. “I may be 59,” he says, “but the only rocking chair this rocker is getting ready for is the one for my new baby.”

Richie Scarlet Talks About Recording With Peter Criss
Peter Criss' New Album: "Bitchin' Rock And Roll"
RockMusicStar.com
As first reported here back in August 2009, Richie Scarlet in an exclusive interview with KISS MASK WEBZINE that he recorded some tracks for Peter Criss' upcoming 'Rock Album.' Rock Music Star recently interviewed Richie as he candidly spoke about those sessions, among many things.
Interviewed by John Jeffrey
RMS: One project you worked on in 2010 was the Peter Criss 'Rock' album. Could you tell us about that project and when we may be able to expect to see it released?
RS: I did that record quite awhile back. I had a blast doing it with Peter. I love Peter Criss. We've been friends for a long, long time. I really wanted to play guitar on it, but all of the guitars were already done by his guitar player, Angel, who's been with him forever. So I ended up playing bass. I did 8 or 9 tracks on the record. This record is a Rock and Roll record, and it's not like his previously released one ("One For All"), which was a ballad/crooner kinda thing. This is back to bitchin' Rock and Roll. There's some really good tracks on this record, though I haven't heard it since I cut the tracks. It's due out sometime this year on Sony records. I don't know when the (exact) release date is, as I'm actually surprised it hasn't been released yet.
RMS: One thing people may not know, is the way you wound up recording the bass parts, was a very a-typical way for you, as you told me that you had not heard any of the material before recording your tracks.
RS: Usually when you're asked to play on a record, you're given the material, so you can
work on it, before you come in to record it. But in Peter's case, he was not keen on releasing any of his material, so I had to go in there cold. Having no idea what the tracks sounded like or anything. I didn't have an absolute clue about anything (regarding the material). Therefore, I decided when I got to the studio, I was going to go right to the tracks, just roll up my sleeves, and go for it. That's exactly what I did. I pulled up to the studio driveway, I got out (of my car), Peter's studio engineer was standing there, and we proceeded to walk into the studio. I didn't even waste five minutes. I sat down and I told him to start playing me the tracks. I just took track by track. I'd take the verse, then work on the verse. I'd go to the chorus, and then the bridge, whatever the arrangement was. I approached it with a real mental attitude, that since I don't have the material - BRING IT ON!! It was definitely a different way to do a record, but it kept me on my toes. I'm glad I was able to put my input into it. I gave some production input also. That was it, and it was a total blast. I kinda keep forgetting I even did it, because it was quite awhile ago, but KISS fans have a way of reminding me that the record will be coming out. Hopefully, it will see the light sometime soon.
RMS: Many music fans/KISS fans remember you from all of the years you worked with Ace Frehley, so to hear you working with another member of KISS will undoubtedly make many people happy.
RS: I went from one rebel of KISS, to another rebel of KISS. It was always 'in the cards' with Peter Criss and I, because we've jammed many times before. When you play with someone and the vibe is right, you usually end up recording with them. And that's exactly what happened. I was very happy to do it, though I would have loved to play some guitar on it. I think it's going to be a really good record and I'm not just saying that because I played on it, and trying to make Peter look good. There's some actually well written songs on it.

Kiss' "(Music From) The Elder" Song Poll Results
POLL RESULTS:
With the 30th Anniversary of "The Elder," which song would you like to hear live?
It's no secret that Kiss fans would love to hear something Kiss play off of their rock opera album from 1981.
Kiss Mask Readers just completed a poll on which songs from "(Music From) The Elder" would fans like to hear and see live on Kiss' next world tour. The Question: With the 30th Anniversary of "The Elder," which song would you like to hear live?
We put four songs to the test in this poll that we felt would be the most popular. "I" came in at number one (by one point) with "The Oath" coming in a strong second. The results are as follows:
The Oath-19%
Under The Rose-10%
I-20%
Mr. Blackwell-6%
"(Music From) The Elder" still remains today as the album Kiss would just assume forget, yet loved and hailed by Kiss fans and surprisingly acclaimed by critics.
Stayed tuned for an upcoming announcement from KISS MASK WEBZINE regarding Kiss' most fascinating album and the quest to hear a song finally played live.
If you have any suggestions, write Kissmask8895@aol.com with "The Elder" written in the subject matter. All email will be answered.

Eric Singer Reflects on Life and Death of the Legendary Gary Moore
Eric Singer Spoke With Classic Rock Revisited of the Death of Original Thin Lizzy Guitarist Gary Moore
Classic Rock Revisited/Eric-Singer.com
February 9th 2011
KISS drummer Eric Singer has released the following statement to Classic Rock Revistedlnregarding the passing of legendary guitarist Gary Moore:
"I had the pleasure to play drums with Gary on his 1987 'Wild Frontier' tour.
"I joined Gary's band via Bob Daisley. We had recorded together with BLACK SABBATH on the 'Eternal Idol' album. Bob arranged the audition in London in January of 1987. We soon began rehearsals for what would become one of Gary's most successful tours ever.
"I remember we would practice everyday at John Henry Studios in London. Bob and Neil Carter lived in Brighton and would have to leave in time to make their train home. Gary and I would sometimes stay on and jam. Just drums and guitar. We would play THIN LIZZY tunes or just jam endlessly as Gary never ran out of ideas when it came to soloing! He would also play those legendary guitars back then. The 'Peter Green' 1958 Les Paul and his 'Pink Salmon' 1962 Fender Stratocaster. He, of course, did not take those on tour anymore as they had become much too rare and valuable.
"I have to say the one thing that always stood out to me about Gary was his absolute passion and intensity as a guitarist. This man played every song and note like it was the last time he would ever play it. And therefore demanded and expected the same from his band.
"I have to admit he could be a bit tough on drummers. But he only asked for and expected what he himself gave to music. And that was complete commitment every time you played with him. He inspired me to want to play up to his level every night.
"I will always thank him for the opportunity he gave me to play with him. He really was a brilliant musician. And I always felt like he helped take me to another level as a drummer and musician. It was an experience and an education I will never forget and take with me everywhere I go.
"God bless you, Gary Moore."
According to, Mirror.co.uk , ,Moore died of a suspected heart attack, a postmortem revealed on Monday (February 7).Moore died of a suspected heart attack, a postmortem revealed on Monday (February 7).
Moore died in his sleep Sunday morning, hours after checking into the five-star Kempinski Hotel in Estepona on the Costa del Sol, Spain with an unnamed female friend. He was 58 years old.
While forensic experts are satisfied Moore died from natural causes, they requested further tests on tissue samples taken from his body ahead of a final report.
Note* His body was being flown back to England.
Note** Bruce Kulick of Grand Funk Railroad and Kiss had this to say on Classic Rock Revisited:
"Gary Moore had amazing tone, and passion in his guitar playing. A monster of a guitarist. He will be missed."

Kiss, Lady Gaga & Katy Perry Mix - VIDEO
Universal Music/MTV
This may be the only chance for Kiss and Lady Gaga to team up together. I have oftened wondered what Lady Gaga would do with her own remake of "I Was Made For Lovin' You" as it was onced tossed around by the press when Lady Gaga showed up for New Jersey Kiss show last summer. And while that could just be a 'wonder,' we do get this incredible 'mash-up' with Kiss and Lady Gaga on that very song along with one of Katy Perry's hits.
Ruben Valentino has produced a video of Kiss (I Was Made For Lovin' You) with Lady Gaga (Just Dance) and Katy Perry ( Hot n Cold) in a very cool mash-up complete with video clips from all three artists.
Awesome! Check it out!

Peter Criss' Memoir Set for 2012
Los Angeles Times
KISS drummer Peter Criss will pen a memoir, publisher Scribner announced Tuesday. "Makeup to Breakup" is slated for release in the fall of 2012.
Criss will write the book with the help of Larry "Ratso" Sloman. Scribner's press release promises, "From sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll to multiple brushes with death, 'Makeup to Breakup' will be Peter Criss' unvarnished and eye-opening life story."
While bandmate Gene Simmons has taken his outsize personality to reality television, Criss has had a quieter public persona. He is a breast cancer survivor. "I am so blessed that I am finally going to write my autobiography, and I hope you enjoy the ride," Criss said in the release. "The best of all is I get to share my true feelings of my love for God, family, friends and fame. It's been a wonderful life."
In addition to playing drums in KISS, Criss provided some of the vocals. In fact, he wrote and sang the band's biggest hit, the ballad "Beth."

Editor's Note: Ace Frehley's memoir "No Regrets" (Hardcover/288 pages), according to Simon & Shuster's site, has a publication date of April 26, 2011. You can pre-order it HERE

Will We Ever See Kiss' DESTROYER Tour 1976 on Video?
Will we ever see an official live performance Kiss release from the DESTROYER tour? Kiss' first big arena tour included staging themed with the album's cover of a post apocalyptic scene of a city in ruins complete with Gene's "castle," Ace's "space planet" placed on each side of the stage to Peter's left and right. The stage included crystals and burned out trees that appeared to survive a nuclear explosion. Peter had two gigantic cats placed on each side of his drum kit with glowing green eyes. Christmas lights, Kiss Army banners, high voltage towers and lightning bolts made this staging very ambitious for it's time. No other band at that time was touring with such a powerful live presentation.
With Kiss planning another volume of KISSOLOGY, it would make great timing and and a handsome addition to see some of their landmark 1976 tour on film for home use. Possibly a bonus DVD? Meanwhile, here is some clips from Houston's the Summit, 1976. The videos below, however, are pro-shot.
